DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 19th Ironman 70.3 to be held in Chattanooga\, T
 N.  This event begins in Chattanooga and travels through the north Georgi
 a and returns to Chattanooga.  Auxiliary communications volunteers compos
 ed of Amateur Radio operators\, GMRS radio licensees and others provide on
  course communications assistance to the event.  If interested in helping
  please register here.  You will need to use a special password "radio" t
 o find the assignment.  If you are not a communicator\, but would like su
 pport the event\, see the IRONMAN 70.3 event website below to sign up as a
  volunteer for a different assignment.\n\nAs of the time of this posting w
 e are informed that with 3800 registered participants\, this event is sold
  out and is the largest 70.3 in the World to date.\n\nCommunications volun
 teers are provided with orientation to the event\, any training necessary 
 concerning event proceedures\, and a specific assignment with written obje
 ctives.    Individual assignments  are usually 4 - 6 hours and start ti
 mes stagger during the day.\n\nSee the event website for more about event.
