 his Tsunami Exercise encourages operators to send amateur radio messages t
 o tactical address TSUNAMI during Tsunami Preparedness Week.  The exerci
 se encourages radio operators to improve their all-hazards preparedness an

 es: We welcome messages submission during Tsunami Preparedness Week from
  March 22 - March 30\, 2025.\n\n\nWHO\n\n\n 	\nAll interested amateur radi
 o operators are welcome to participate\n\n 	\nThe Tsunami Exercise is a c
 ollaboration of ARES LAX Northeast\, San Diego ARES \, Hawaii ARES\, 
 San Joaquin Valley Section\, Whatcom County (WA) ACS/ARES\, Snohomish Co
 unty (WA) ACS \, WLNET-OE\, Winlink Treff and the Emcomm Training Orga
 nization.\n\n\nHOW\n\n\n 	\nThe exercise asks radio operators to complete 
 6 tasks: Maintain an ICS-214 Activity Log\, send a Winlink Check-in\, 
  USGS Did-you-feel-it? (DYFI) report\, Welfare Bulletin Board Message\,
  ICS-213 General Message\, and Winlink Check-out.\n\n 	\n⬇️ Downloa

 \n\n\nWHERE\n\n\n 	\nYou may operate from your home shack or from a deploy
 ed location.\n\n 	\nYou may use any mode and band\, including Telnet. We e
 ncourage operators to use RF.\n\n\nOPERATING ASSUMPTIONS\nThis exercise as
 sumes\n\n\n 	\nbasic familiarity with Winlink\n\n 	\nthe latest Winlink St
 andard Templates are installed\n\n 	\noperators can operate and fulfill ta
 sks on their own accord\n\n 	\noperators are able and willing to follow ba
 sic instructions and complete tasks\n\n\nTSUNAMIZONE REGISTRATION (OPTION
 AL)\nWe invite all groups to register with TsunamiZone here. \nTsunamiZ
 one is organized by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration\
 , National Tsunami Hazard Mitigation Program\, United States Geological 
 Survey\, California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services and the S
 tatewide California Earthquake Center to prepare the whole community for 
 major earthquakes and the tsunamis they can cause\, and practice how to pr
 otect our communities when they happen. \nOne benefit of registering is t
 hat participants receive a "Certificate of Participation" from TsunamiZone
