Join us for the 20th IRONMAN event to be held in Chattanooga, TN. This event begins in Chattanooga and travels through the north Georgia and returns to Chattanooga. Auxiliary communications volunteers composed of Amateur Radio operators, GMRS radio licensees and others provide on course communications assistance to the event. As of the time of this posting we are informed that with 3800 registered participants, this event is sold out and is the largest 70.3 in the World to date.
Communications volunteers are provided with orientation to the event, any training necessary concerning event proceedures, and a specific assignment with written objectives. Individual assignments are usually 4 – 6 hours and start times stagger during the day.
